This site was made so I could research and share all sorts of knowledge about marine invertebrates! Over the past two years, I've learned a decent amount of information relating to marine life, and for this website, I'm going to do a lot more research and share my findings. I also wanted to bring awareness to the troubles that our oceans are in, and why our society is not doing enough to help.

The ocean is incredibly diverse, and scientists have discovered over 240,000 marine species, however only five percent of the ocean has been explored. Out of the 35 animal kingdom phyla, 12 of them are exclusive to the ocean. This doesn't even include fish, as mammals, repitles, and amphibians, are all in the same phylum as fish

Unfortunately, humans have heavily impacted our oceans, and it might be irreparable. Due to overfishing, climate change, and trash in the ocean, millions of organisms die from human impacts every minute. Hopefully my website will help to bring awareness to the peril that plagues are ocean, and offer possible solutions to ease it.
